Better Abs, Glutes and Brains

It's easy to justify cutting workouts short.

Many times I have lifted weights for 30-40 minutes and had planned to follow it with 30 minutes of cardio.

Then my mind begins sabotaging me.

"You have already been here for 40 minutes, you don't want working out to take over your life."

"Tony is ripped and does ZERO cardio."

"You need to get home so you can..."

For some reason when I'm at the gym my mind rations that an extra 15-30 minutes is a BUNCH of time that could be spent elsewhere.

The reality for me is that it just mainly cuts into TV time.

I actually enjoy cardio once I get rolling.

A lot of people, especially those over 35, need a bit of cardio to hit those last 10 stubborn pounds.

Strategic cardio makes up for less than stellar hormone levels that a lot of younger people are blessed with.

It's also a great thing for longevity.

So how to get yourself to actually do it?

I recommend listening to self-help audio books with Audible.

Right now I'm listening to this book:

I'm really enjoying it.

My favorite book of all-time is Linchpin by Seth Godin.

I've read it a bunch of times, so I just picked up the Audible version.

Most of us probably know that reading this type of stuff is a good thing.

We also could use a bit more exercise in our lives.

Here's a way to do both at the same time.

I've been finding that I will even extend cardio sessions a bit when I am really engrossed in the audio book.

Give it a shot.

That way you can have a sexier brain to go along with your smoking body :)
