I wanted to send out a quick email about a cheap vitamin that you should consider taking.
That vitamin is K2.
I started taking vitamin K2 just a few years back for a specific reason:
How it helps regulate calcium.
It basically shuttles calcium towards your bones to help keep your bones and teeth strong.
It helps prevent calcium build up in the arteries.
Here's a link to a study showing that over a 7-10 year period, people with the highest intake of vitamin K2 were 52% less likely to develop artery calcification.
Calcium goes to the bones... and away from the arteries.
Studies show it can help prevent osteoporosis, fewer hip fractures as people get older, etc.
There are two forms of Vitamin K2.
- MK-4: Seems to be more potent, but doesn't stay in the body for a long time.
- MK-7: Not as powerful, but stays active in the body for a longer period of time.
I recommend picking up a brand that has both types of vitamin K2.
The stuff I take is called:
Life Extension Super K with Advanced K2 Complex
(Had good reviews and super cheap).
I may do a detailed blog post on this at some point.
This is simply a vitamin I'd highly recommend supplementing in your diet.
Just looking out for you :)
If you are on blood thinning medication, you need to be cautious with vitamin K2.
In fact...
It is always a good idea to consult your doctor if you are currently being prescribed medicine and plan on adding any vitamins or supplements.s
