"Here's a hack that works really well for me...
I'm not saying
It has also worked well for people I've shared it with in the past.
*Training in the middle of the day*
This isn't practical for the schedules of a lot of people, but if you can swing it... it can get you past a fat loss sticking point.
It works best, in my opinion if you set it up like this.
- Get 3-4 hours of quality work done after you wake up.
- Don't eat food during this time.
- Get your workout in after you put in 3-4 quality hours of work.
- Take your daily shower.
- Try not to eat for about an hour after training.
What you will find is that you will feel fresh and invigorated in the afternoon after your shower.
The shower gives a nice mental reset.
Your mind will be ready for another few hours of quality work.
I also think that a lot more gets accomplished when work sessions are kept to 3-4 hours of focused effort.
The past few months I have been training at around 4:00 or 5:00 PM.
Starting today I'm going to work from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
I'll get my workout in, in the middle of the day, take a shower and then work for another stretch in the afternoon.
If I feel extra hungry, I'll have a small meal at some point.
If not, I'll just fast until dinner.
As far as fat loss goes....
When you are fasting your sympathetic nervous system becomes more active.
This triggers more fat mobilization as well as the burning of fats…
When you stack that with training you can increase the rate of fat loss.
Also...
Most of us typically get pretty hungry about 3-4 hours after waking up.
For some people, exercise can reduce hunger.
I find I wind up being thirsty and forget about hunger for a couple of hours after training.
Anyway...
If you can setup your schedule like this, give it a shot.
I have seen it work extremely well for people.
P.S.
Another thing I like about scheduling a workout early in the day like this, is that you are more likely to actually do it.
If you hold off until 5:00 PM, it's easy to find reasons to miss the workout.
And exercise isn't just good for the body...
It's great for the mind as well.
I find working up a sweat every day is good for the brain.
